Having Fun Bocce Ball
Ask around about their favourite sport or game. The usual answers would be basketball, football, baseball and soccer. Rarely do you hear someone preferring or knowing bocce ball. If you ask them about bocce ball they will raise an eyebrow, shrug and laugh because the game is not that popular around the globe. Only few people know the game but the game is really simple, easy to learn and it is fun. Bocce is a ball sport developed in Italy. It is actually a known sport in Europe particularly Italy, Slovenia, and Southern France and the game is slowly making its way to America and the rest of the world. The game can be conducted with only two players or it could be a team sport in which you have four players in each side. There are two balls involved in the game: a small ball and bocce ball. The smaller ball is called pallino, this is the ball first thrown in the game. Then players from both side will throw bocce ball as close as possible to the pallino. The bocce ball is actually very light. Sometimes the bocce ball is made out of metal, and others are made out of plastic. The team in which they have thrown the bocce ball closest to the small ball wins. It is really a fun game. It also exercises the arm and increases the strength of the wrist. It is a good bonding activity for friends and family and surely most families will have their own bocce ball set.
